With CheckPoint, you can choose paper check guarantee, or, the latest technology, Electronic Check Conversion (ECC).

 

 ECC allows you to process checks just like credit cards. Insert the check in your check reader and give the check back to the customer. The funds will be transferred into your account. In addition, if an ECC transaction “bounces”, you will be reimbursed the face value of the check, and not incur any bounced check fees.


American Express - Accepting this premium “charge” card is essential for all businesses. American Express cardholders have very high credit limits and spend more than the average credit card user. American Express cardholders also accumulate mileage points and insist on using their American Express card.


VISA/MasterCard - These cards are the most commonly used business and personal credit cards in the United States. In most cases, your transactions are deposited into your checking account within two business days after you close your batches.

An internet merchant is a term used for merchants who conduct business on the Internet.

6. What is a shopping cart?

7. Do I need a shopping cart to be an internet merchant?
No. A virtual terminal will work just as well. However, merchants that have a large number of products may find it easier to use a shopping cart.

A Technical Services Department representative will train merchants to use terminals supplied by LEADERS. Also, a toll-free customer service number is provided and representatives are available 24/7/365.

12. What types of merchants does Leaders Merchant Services approve?
All types of merchants meeting our underwriting standards.

13. What is the time frame for being able to start accepting credit cards?
Once your merchant account is approved, you will be able to accept cards upon receipt of your terminal or e-commerce password. This usually occurs within 3-5 business days of your account approval.
 
14. How do I determine what terminal, equipment and/or software is best for my business?
